Axolotls grow, on average, about an inch a month. In order for them to reach their peak potential, they require proper nutrition. There are several available options to fit your needs, depending on the size and preference of your axolotl.
Pellets are a very convenient food source. You can find them online, and in many pet stores. The high carb content makes them a less healthy option. Be sure to read the nutritional chart on the back, to make sure you are getting a high enough protein/fat ratio.
Brine shrimp are the ideal food for new hatchlings. They are too small to be of any substance to adults.
